Lets just say a prayer ...
Let’s just say a prayer for those that have been affected by Hurricane Katrina. Pray for the souls lost. Pray for the lives that have been changed forever. In these changing times, we need to reach to out to God to carry us through. Seek out a way to help. Here are two sources:
http://www.redcross.org/ - The Red Cross
http://www.networkforgood.org – A network organization that has multiple sources to send your donations.
Now with that said, let me go gangster on some things:
The Media:
Screw all those that seek to build more to the story that there is. Instead of trying to just report the story, they are trying to sensationalize the tragedy. From the comforts of your offices and homes, you self righteous asshole report the news as you see fit and not as it is. Case in point:

Here are two pictures of survivors in New Orleans during the tragedy. One picture is with a white male and female and the other is with a black youth. The caption next to the white couple says “… after finding bread and soda from a local grocery store …” (I see the bread, but where is the soda?) while the caption next to the black youth says “… after looting a grocery store …”(... there is the soda ...). To Associated Press, you judgmental bastards, how can you take two similar pictures and pass judgment on one and shine the other. Both pictures show two groups of people trying to survive during a tragic event. That is it. You pricks took that to make some type of statement. What that statement is, you be the judge. Granted there was some people taking advantage of the situation and actually looting, not all of them being black, but in these two cases, food was being used for survival. A picture can say a thousand words, it is just the Associated Press chose the wrong ones.
Kayne West:
Big props to the brother. He said what he felt and took the risk. It takes a big man to take leap like that. How many celebrities take a chance like that? He saw the risk and he took it. In his voice was real pain and passion. Then next to him you have Mike Myers, who just read from the script and look really fake the whole time and did not know how to handle it. In case you did not see it, take a peep here:

President Bush:
In case you forgot, Louisiana gave you 9 electoral votes in the last election. Response should have been faster. For a nation that can deploy its military in 24 hours, response to this tragedy was kind of on the weak side …
