Enough already ... we get it, the man is a cracker

When the news media gets onto something, they stay on it forever. I mean that there are more relevant and important things out there, but the news media insists on driving this into the ground (or through our skull). High Gas prices, the war in Iraq, Israel’s war all must take a back seat to this...

In case you have not heard, Mel Gibson made Anti-Semitic remarks while getting pulled over for drunk driving. Now Mel is in rehab for alcohol abuse. Mel blames the alcohol for his behavior. I personally think it is for career rehab.

I knew the crap was insane when at the top of the news was Mel and the second news story was Fidel Castro stepping down from power due to health reasons. Now let me get this clear ... here is a man that ruled a nation that at one point had the United States on the brink of Nuclear War; here is a man that ruled one of the last remaining Communist nations in the world; a man that has shaped world history and he takes second seat to man that makes movies and can not hold his alcohol? It is pretty insane. Now Rob Schneider took out a one-page article in the paper to say that he will never work with Mel Gibson. Let me get this clear, Deuce Bigelow will not work with the man who created Braveheart and The Passion of The Christ? Who is Rob kidding; did he even think his name was even on the post it attached to the list of actors Mel would work with? On the morning news I like to watch, the entertainment reporter, Sam Rueben, went on a tirade about this while reporting the entertainment news. Hey Sammy, get off the soapbox and report the news. Lately your movie reviews have been off base and I used to like them. Now I do not even bother to listen.

Our news media has finally reached the point where they are scrambling for stories from The National Enquirer and The Star...

Not to sound cold, I sympathize with those that were offended, but here is a question; would there have been the same uproar had he said the “N” word and that he hated them?

Side note: Elian wishes that his Grandpa Castro gets better …
